The farmer is the only man in our economy who buys everything at retail, sells everything at wholesale, and pays the freight both ways’

Quiet, Efficient Cattle
At Table Top Angus we place a high importance on breeding quiet, efficient cattle that can negotiate difficult seasons and excel in good seasons. In order to achieve this a strong emphasis is placed on fat cover when selecting future sires.
“We use our own bulls in our own herd- ‘Keeping the finger on the pulse’ helps breed commercially relevant bulls”
Management
We also look to carefully manage our conformation, maintaining a moderate size and calving ease of our breeders.
“The main, obvious objective of cattle producers is to get live calves on the ground”.
For Producers
Table Top Angus bulls are sold from 12mths of age, due to a large portion been purchased to go over heifers. In order to meet this criteria, we aim for low- moderate birth weights with high growth while still maintaining EMA and IMF.
Producers like a bull that can join heifers for a couple of years but can still be used over their cows when they are bigger. This increases the animal’s value to an enterprise.
